Cost of a relocation REALTOR®

Understanding the benefits of owning a home, many potential buyers might ask, “How does relocation assistance work?” and “What are the costs involved?” The cost of hiring a relocation REALTOR®, particularly from reputable real estate relocation services like Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, can vary based on several factors, including:

However, investing in a relocation REALTOR® ensures you get the best deals, smooth transitions, and professional advice throughout the process.

Many families and individuals embarking on a relocation journey often wonder about the intricacies of the process. What services can they expect when working with a relocation specialist? To learn how our Relocation Department actually works with transferees, companies, and agents to make relocating as smooth as possible, we asked VP of Relocation, Gabriel Brown to provide case studies of recently completed “relos.”

Meet Will and Kristin, buyers

Will and his young family were being relocated by his employer from Bakersfield to Ventura, about three hours away. Will and wife Kristin loved the idea of moving to the lovely coastal community, but they were daunted by higher home prices, were unfamiliar with the new area, and were a little overwhelmed at the prospect of moving with a preschooler and a baby.

Our Relocation Specialist spoke with Will and decided that the mother-son agent team of Julia and Ryan Bruns in our Ventura office would be the perfect guides for Will and Kristin. Julia is a beloved, veteran agent in the area. Ryan is close in age to Will and Kristin, and very relatable. Both are professional, attentive, and effective agents.

We received the referral from a relocation management company in June, and Will was scheduled to start the new job in Ventura in August. Will and Kristin packed up the kids that weekend and drove to Ventura to start the search. Julia and Ryan were ready for them. After several phone conversations, Julia and Ryan were able to determine the family’s needs and set up several showings.

Closed in time for summer

Nine days after we received the referral, Julia and Ryan wrote an offer for Will and Kristin on a recently reduced, move-in-ready home across from a park for the kids, and just minutes from Will’s new office. Julia and Ryan were even able to negotiate a contingency into the agreement that Will and Kristin sell their Bakersfield home. They closed on the new home in August, with plenty of summer weather left to enjoy their new coastal lifestyle.

Making the right move: the value of expert relocation guidance

In today’s rapidly changing real estate landscape, having the right guidance during relocation is paramount. Whether it’s understanding the services a relocation specialist provides or weighing the costs involved, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties’ California REALTORS® remain at the forefront, ensuring that every relocation journey is smooth, efficient, and tailored to individual needs. As many have experienced firsthand, the value of a trusted real estate partner during such transitions cannot be overstated. The right relocation support will alleviate additional stress coming from the home selling, buying and moving process. When considering your next move, remember that the right expertise can make all the difference.
