What:
The San Diego Crew Classic is almost here, and whether you plan to participate or spectate, this is one water event you don’t want to miss. Festivities begin Friday evening with a Crews to College fair and panel discussion limited to 400 attendees. If you’re participating in the classic, you’re also invited to a pasta party on Friday evening and you can bring friends, families, and coaches along. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. If you’re a spectator, you don’t want to miss the Sierra Nevada beer garden open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You must be 21 to enter the beer garden, but it’s the perfect place to sit and enjoy the races. Races take place Saturday and Sunday. Check website for race times.

What:
Ride the train, meet the bunny, and take part in an Easter egg hunt. This annual event takes place inside the Locomotive Loop, just behind the train station. The hunt includes eggs filed with candy, stickers, train tickets, and more. Kids are separated into age groups for each hunt. They can bring their own basket, and the park will have baskets available for purchase. Other activities include moon bounce, hayrides, cookie decorating, picture stands, carnival games, and face painting.

What:
WET Coast is one of the first European car shows for water-cooled vehicles to come to the Central California coast. Vehicles, vendors, and show sponsors will be situated along the grass of Linden Park. Only car-show entries will be permitted to park on the grass area. Spectators will be allowed to park in designated public parking areas nearby and throughout the city. The event is free and open to the public. At the end of the day, awards will be given for 43 categories including best driven, best of show, top 25, best management install, and best interior.

What:
Travel from North Hollywood to Studio City on car-free streets. The method of transportation is up to you as long as it’s non-motorized wheel power. CicLAvia in the Valley will run 5.5 miles along Lankershim Boulevard between the North Hollywood Metro Red Line stop at Chandler Boulevard and the Universal Studio Red Line stop, and along Ventura Boulevard between Campo de Cahuenga and Coldwater Canyon. This event is brought to you by Metro Los Angeles and serves as a grassroots initiative to build on the discussion about open streets events, active transportation, urban land use, and public health needs in Los Angeles.
