San Diego

We are proud to announce our event sponsorship of the world premiere of a new documentary, “National Geographic Channel World’s Smart Cities: San Diego.” The one-hour program showcases the many innovations that make San Diego a “smart city.”

“Becoming an event sponsor for this documentary’s world debut at San Diego Symphony Hall on April 21 was a natural fit for our company,” said David M. Cabot, President and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties. “Our San Diego agents work with clients from around the globe to assure seamless transactions at every stage of the home-buying and selling processes. These clients appreciate the world-class service that has made us the premier residential real estate company in San Diego.”

The documentary is an unprecedented exploration of the world’s cities to highlight destinations where technology, talent, and innovation are creating new urban environments that will emerge as leading cities in the 21st century.

A strong technology sector, local innovators, green practices, smart public planning, and an unparalleled quality of life is why San Diego was selected by the National Geographic Channel as the only U.S. city to be featured in a “World’s Smart Cities” documentary.

“World’s Smart Cities” runs one hour including commercials, and highlights San Diego as a “smart” city of the 21st century, combining the region’s unique lifestyle, creative talent, and technological innovation. It will air April 25 and May 2 on the National Geographic Channel in the United States. It also will be broadcast in more than 60 other countries in coming months.

Cities featured in other “World’s Smart Cities” documentaries include Bucharest, Romania; Adelaide, Australia; and Durban, South Africa.
