Celebrate youth culture at this year’s Multicultural Day Parade, held by Continuing the Dream at Fairplex, formerly Los Angeles County Fairgrounds, in Pomona. Participating communities including Pomona, Claremont, San Bernardino, and many others will showcase their talents in drill team, equestrian, color guard, marching band, and more. Visitors also can enjoy a float parade and competition, and a variety of vendors. Continuing the Dream was recognized in 2007 as a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation employees’ community’s youth group. Participants strive to empower youth and celebrate the contributions of every culture, and their goal is to assist the community’s at-risk youths by extending their professionalism.

They’ll need all the help they can get, as they’ll face 2014 National League MVP and Cy Young Award-winning pitcher Clayton Kershaw under the sun in Chavez Ravine. The ace lefty returns with his blistering four-seam fastball and hyper-focused precision to hopefully once again dominate hitters throughout the league.
