The 2015 Kia Classic is coming to Carlsbad for its sixth year. The field will feature last year’s champion, Anna Nordqvist, as well as crowd favorites Paula Creamer, Natalie Gulbis, Michelle Wie, and Lexie Thompson. They will be playing among a total of 144 of the best women golfers for the $1.7 million purse. Special events will include Women’s Leadership Day, Military Appreciation Day, and a color-guard presentation at opening ceremonies. The final day of the tournament is Family Day, full of activities such as a scavenger hunt, autograph sessions, and a junior clinic featuring LPGA players. Come out for 72 holes of intense competition that will benefit North County Solutions for Change, a nonprofit dedicated to solving family homelessness that has already helped 750 families and 1,450 children.

What:
Junk Bonanza started with the simple premise of cleaning out the junk throughout your home. It’s now morphed into a national phenomenon. The Bonanza has biannual fall and spring shows at Canterbury Park in south Minneapolis and now new venues in Portland and San Diego. Attendees can browse displays of exceptionally priced vintage and antique goods. Head to the Bonanza to find a one-of-a-kind piece and participate in special activities, prizes, and giveaways.

What:
The San Diego Crew Classic is almost here, and whether you plan to participate or spectate, this is one water event you don’t want to miss. Festivities begin Friday evening with a Crews to College fair and panel discussion limited to 400 attendees. If you’re participating in the classic, you’re also invited to a pasta party on Friday evening and you can bring friends, families, and coaches along. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. If you’re a spectator, you don’t want to miss the Sierra Nevada beer garden open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. You must be 21 to enter the beer garden, but it’s the perfect place to sit and enjoy the races. Races take place Saturday and Sunday. Check website for race times.
