View some rollin’ blasts from the past in Old Town Camarillo the fourth Sunday of each month through October at the Sunday Cruise. Classic pre-1980 domestic vehicles will be on display during the day for oohing, aahing, and ogling, along with food, a beer garden, and live music. After checking out the wheels, stick around for dinner and take a stroll around the beautiful area.

The California Jazz and Wine Fest is back for the fourth consecutive year. Spend the day seeing jazz groups, sipping wine and beer, and sampling gourmet cuisine. The jazz lineup includes Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band, Oskar Cartaya Enclave with guest Justo Amario, as well as other bands. The festival is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Westlake Village Sunrise. All attendees must be 21 or older.

During this two-day event, you can participate in bushels of activities dedicated to delicious strawberries. More than 20 vendors will sell their wares at booths featuring some of the most authentic antiques, folk art, clocks and watches, and other vintage items in Conejo Valley. After you browse and bargain, treat yourself to a bit of history and take a tour of the museum, or perhaps stroll through the Heritage Memorial Rose Garden in the pleasant spring sunshine.

Mariachi, a form of folk music from Mexico, came to popularity in the 19th and 20th centuries. It gained national popularity during the 20th century when played during presidential inaugurations and on the radio. Oxnard visitors and residents can attend the Annual Mariachi Festival on May 9 for a sample of history. The concert begins at 2 p.m. followed by a dinner and dance at 7 p.m.
