View some rollin’ blasts from the past in Old Town Camarillo the fourth Sunday of each month through October at the Sunday Cruise. Classic pre-1980 domestic vehicles will be on display during the day for oohing, aahing, and ogling, along with food, a beer garden, and live music. Water conservation is a topic those of us in Southern California are all too familiar with. While in the midst of one of the most severe droughts on record, it’s no surprise that counties throughout California are putting together programs to incentivize residents to take part in conservation efforts. Rebates are available for homeowners as well as renters, and typically fall into one of two categories. Rebates can be obtained for indoor and outdoor water-saving technology. Rebates can be obtained through programs from California American Water and the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. Many of these rebates can easily be applied for online.

If you’re looking for something “berry” unique, check out the California Strawberry Festival. During this two-day event, you can participate in bushels of activities dedicated to delicious strawberries. Dive face-first into a strawberry pie-eating contest, team up for the strawberry relay race, or bling out your cap in the “berry best hat” contest.
