To help Canine Companions for Independence continue to provide highly-trained assistance dogs for children and adults with disabilities, Greg Noonan of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties is sponsoring the charity’s signature national fundraiser. Known as the Dog Fest Walk ‘n’ Roll, this year’s event will be held on November 22 at NTC Park in Liberty Station.
“We are delighted to be a part of this effort,” says Greg Noonan. “Anyone who has ever had a dog knows the special kind of joy they bring. Can you imagine the bond they share with those who need them for doing things we take for granted every day, like turning on a light or opening a door? I encourage all to join us in supporting this great cause in any way they can.”
Greg Noonan and his wife Marilyn were inspired when they met Norway, a yellow Labrador puppy that was being raised by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties Associate General Counsel Victoria Boynton. “Vicki gives so much of her heart to these puppies for 18 to 20 months, then she turns them over to those in need,” explains Marilyn Noonan. “We had just lost our yellow lab when we met Norway and fell in love. Sponsoring this event is a great way to bring more dogs to those in need while honoring Vicki’s phenomenal generosity.”
