Information provided by: Angeleno

With a plethora of enticing events ahead—January’s Art Los Angeles Contemporary and The Broad Downtown’s highly anticipated opening are just two on the horizon—Angelenos have countless options when it comes to art-world happenings. Here, five can’t-miss shows for the upcoming months.

Through Feb. 22: Pierre Huyghe at LACMA
Spanning more than 25 years of the French artist’s practice, this exhibition moves beyond Huyghe’s work in film and video to include interactive pieces—a live dog! An ice skating rink!—that blur the line between reality and fiction. 5095 Wilshire Blvd., Beverly Hills, 323.857.6000

Dec. 13-Jan. 31: Jesse Stecklow at M+B Gallery
Encountering Stecklow’s deft manipulation of material and composition in his first solo show, it’s easy to understand why the 21-year-old artist was snatched up by M+B gallery founder Benjamin Trigano while he was still a student at UCLA. 612 N. Almont Drive, L.A., 310.550.0050

Dodger Stadium

Since opening its gates in 1962, Dodger Stadium has hosted more than 147 million fans. The stadium has seen improvements, upgrades and additions over its 52 seasons, and remains one of Los Angeles’ most well-known landmarks. Whether you’re new to L.A. or you’ve lived here for years, a tour of this cathedral of baseball should be on everyone’s bucket list.
Touring Dodger Stadium isn’t like a normal trip to the ballpark to watch the game — it’s a whole new experience. The tour lets fans go truly behind the scenes to some of the most restricted areas of the stadium. The tour is about 80 to 90 minutes and typically includes a trip down to the field, a visit to the Dodgers’ dugout, a look at the Lexus Dugout Club and a walk through the Vin Scully Press Box.
Stadium tours take place at 10 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. when a day game is scheduled, or on national holidays.
Exclusive pregame tours are available prior to the start of a game on certain dates for $30 to game-day ticketholders. To attend a pregame tour, you must have a game ticket and a tour ticket. This abridged tour lasts approximately 45 minutes.
