Day at the Races at the Del Mar Fairgounds

The Warrior Foundation Freedom Station is a nonprofit foundation created by real estate professionals to support injured and disabled military heroes who seek temporary lodging.

The San Diego chapter of The Charitable Foundation of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties will present “Day at the Races,” a benefit on Nov. 20 at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. The event includes food, drinks and a silent auction to support deserving servicemen and servicewomen.

“Freedom Station is a leader in providing temporary lodging facilities, as well as educational and career guidance to our nation’s medically retired or discharged military heroes, and we are privileged to show them our appreciation through events such as this,” said Mark Stuart, board chair of the San Diego chapter.

San Diego-based Freedom Station helps military personnel begin the transition from defenders of freedom to productive members of America’s civilian workforce. It also enables personal interaction between military warriors and uniquely qualified volunteers and professionals who can assist them with many of the challenges they will face during the transition to civilian life.

The “Day at the Races” benefit begins at 12:30 p.m. Fairground gates open at 11 a.m., with first post at noon.

The event is supported by Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties, Pickford Escrow Company and The Charitable Foundation.
