The 2015 Kia Classic is coming to Carlsbad for its sixth year. The field will feature last year’s champion, Anna Nordqvist, as well as crowd favorites Paula Creamer, Natalie Gulbis, Michelle Wie, and Lexie Thompson. They will be playing among a total of 144 of the best women golfers for the $1.7 million purse. Special events will include Women’s Leadership Day, Military Appreciation Day, and a color-guard presentation at opening ceremonies. The final day of the tournament is Family Day, full of activities such as a scavenger hunt, autograph sessions, and a junior clinic featuring LPGA players. Come out for 72 holes of intense competition that will benefit North County Solutions for Change, a nonprofit dedicated to solving family homelessness that has already helped 750 families and 1,450 children.
