Living in Orange County can feel like a dream. From near perfect year-round weather, pristine beaches, award-winning restaurants and trend-setting fashion boutiques, it really does have it all. However you choose to spend the day, you’ll feel like you’re walking on sunshine. Here are our top 5 things to do in Orange County.

1. Disneyland: No surprise here. Since opening in 1955, Disneyland has welcomed more than 500 million guests. The latest? Cars Land inside the revamped Disney California Adventure. We love that Disneyland keeps everything fresh. Look for the classic submarine ride, now updated to be the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage at Disneyland. Oh and don’t forget to stay for the parade and nightly fireworks!

2. Newport Beach: As the largest recreational harbor on the west coast, Newport Beach offers eight miles of extraordinary surfing, swimming, fishing and other aquatic sports activities. Be sure to save time to enjoy a stroll through quaint Balboa Park and enjoy the sunset.

3. Huntington Beach:There’s nothing better than spending the day at the beach followed by beach bonfire. With over 600 fire rings available on a first-come, first-serve basis, grab one and then roast a few hot dogs, make some s’mores and live like the locals.

4. Shopping: Orange County is known for its shopping. From Fashion Island in Newport Beach to the Irvine Spectrum Center, there is no shortage of shopping options. For something a little different, stop by The LAB in Costa Mesa. It has fashioned itself as the next generation of retail. From poetry readings, dancers and live music it’s as much about art as shopping.

5. Coastal Golfing: Golf Digest named Orange County as “One of the World’s 50 Greatest Golf Destinations,” and we aren’t surprised. Golfers can play stunning, picturesque ocean courses with dynamic views of the Pacific Ocean in several locations throughout the OC.
