Jewell Buenavista’s inspiring mission to empower seniors has taken off in the COVID-19 era.
Her popular and informative “Let’s Talk Seniors” lecture series has transitioned from twice-monthly, in-person expert-panel discussions to weekly Zoom sessions-with attendance nearly doubling each week.
“We’ve shifted to a virtual platform, but our goal is still the same: to educate, equip, and empower seniors to be proactive about making lifestyle decisions in their golden years,” said Jewell, Senior Services Co-Director, Founder of Let’s Talk Seniors Realty Group, and an agent in our Chula Vista Eastlake Village office. “We can accommodate even more participants now virtually, which we all love because it allows more interaction and feedback.”
Jewell’s personally guided “bus tours” to senior communities have also transitioned to virtual tours, with facilities managers and staff attending the video meetings and answering questions from seniors weighing their next options. When COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, Jewell plans to resume the in-person panels and bus tours.
