Luxury camping in Southern California

A new trend in camping is making its way across Southern California. Inspired by the spirit of adventure, Autocamp offers a rejuvenated style of camping. Some may even call it “glamping.”

If you’re unfamiliar with the glamping trend, it’s a movement that’s caught fire with people who love the great outdoors, but don’t love the work that goes along with camping. When you’re glamping, you don’t have to pitch a tent, pack up cooking utensils, or build a fire. Instead, glampers are provided all the luxury amenities they should need for outdoor living. Some glamping sites are in luxury tents, treehouses, or an Airstream trailer. Think of glamping as a fusion of luxury, glamour, and camping. Unlike a hotel, glamping is still located in a more rural setting, and visitors are still offered the camping experience.

Autocamp is a new boutique Airstream camping experience. Its Santa Barbara location is open and a Ventura Beach site is on the way. Visitors to the Santa Barbara campground are ushered into a relaxing, retro setting fit for what one would expect when camping in an Airstream along the Central Coast. Fruit trees and foliage fill the park and create boundaries between some of the trailers. Although retro, guests are offered modern conveniences.

Most rentals come with two beach cruisers for those who want to pedal around and enjoy the scenery, a kitchen with cooking supplies, a bathroom stocked with toiletries, a patio with a grill and lounge chairs, and air conditioning for those warm summer nights. When the sun sets, twinkling lights adorn trees in the park, creating the perfect ambiance for relaxing outdoors.

With a stay at one of the Airstreams, parking is complimentary, and the trailer park is near an urban area. Guests can explore the neighborhood, stop for dinner, or simply grab groceries from the local market. Autocamp is pet-friendly for an additional fee.

Glamping literally is a profitable business these days, there is no doubt about it. The Trends are changing fast and camping is turning out to be old-fashioned for few.
