Waffles

Waffles de Liege, an L.A. food truck, has spent more than three years on the road and while they aren’t giving up their wheels just yet, they’ve finally established a brick-and-mortar location at 21 E. Holly St., Pasadena. The brand-new store officially opened Nov. 15.

The Liege waffle comes from Liege, Belgium, and is one of the two types of “Belgian” waffles. The other is the Brussels waffle. Brussels waffles are more widely served.

Waffles de Liege knows how to make a good waffle. The dough is freshly made from scratch each morning. Customers won’t find any premade or frozen dough here. The recipe itself was designed to give consumers an authentic Belgian experience in both taste and texture. Consumers rave about the crispy outside, with a soft and chewy inside.
