There’s a new way to get around in Orange County, and it’s the ARTIC: Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center. This state-of-the-art hub serves as the nexus for all public-transportation needs of the region, and will streamline the movement of 3 million residents and up to 40 million tourists each year.
The visionaries responsible for this remarkable structure broke ground on September 18, 2012, and by December 2014 it was ready for passengers to take their first seats on one of the buses, trains, cars and bikes that will make their way through the $190 million central transportation hub. Some of the points of interest that offer direction connections are Disneyland, Anaheim Convention Center and Angel Stadium. This conveniently placed transportation nexus means that tourists as well as regular commuters will have easy and quick access to some of the most high-traffic areas of the region. ARTIC also has more than 12,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, so commuters will have an opportunity to dine and shop while waiting in the comfort of one of the most advanced terminal hubs on the West Coast.
