We are grateful to share that our parent companies, HomeServices of America and Berkshire Hathaway Energy, have together donated $250,000 to the Red Cross in Southern California, providing critical aid to those affected by these fires.

After receiving overwhelming messages of support and offers to help, we are happy to share a few ways you can help our recovery efforts. Here’s how you can join us in making a difference:

1. Donate to the Disaster Relief Fund

Our Disaster Relief Fund, in conjunction with our 501c3, The Charitable Foundation, directly benefits our agents and staff impacted by recent disasters.

• To donate, visit thecharitablefoundation.net.
• Click Donate Now, select Disaster Relief Fund, and leave the second drop-down blank.
• 100% of the proceeds go directly to our agents and employees who lost their homes.

2. Gift Card Donations

Target gift cards are being collected at all California Properties office locations to help community members meet essential needs.

• Drop-off Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM. Please hand gift cards to the office manager.
• Distribution: Cards will be distributed to community members in need by agents and staff on a first-come, first-serve basis.
• Preferred Cards: Target gift cards are ideal for their versatility. Clearly mark the dollar amount on each card.

3. Bottled Water Collections

Our Pasadena and Beverly Hills offices are collecting cases and jugs of bottled water to distribute throughout the region.

• Drop-off Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM.
• Access: Water is available for agents, staff, and community members on a first-come, first-serve basis.

4. Temporary and long-term rentals

Our agents all have access to a list of rentals that are currently available, as well as a list of current community needs. If you have a property available, or have been displaced and are in need of housing, please reach out to a California Properties agent near you.
