One of San Diego’s most highly anticipated fundraisers, this year’s Taste at the Cove featured Carlos Gutierrez of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties reprising his role as Monty Montezuma. Gutierrez also acted as emcee for the event, which was held at La Jolla Cove in September to benefit the San Diego Sports Medicine Foundation (SDSMF).
With quality fare from San Diego’s most acclaimed restaurants and a New York-style fashion show, as well as silent and live auctions, the Taste at the Cove has been a standing room only event for 13 years running. “We were pleased to have Carlos on hand to support our Aztec-themed fundraiser, and I’m proud to report that we raised over $100,000 in funds,” said David Chao, founder and president of SDSMF. Biomimicry in architecture is the art of modeling buildings and systems after elements of nature with the intent of solving complex human problems. Examples can be seen around the world.
