What:
Join thousands of revelers as they celebrate the wearing of the green at Ventura County’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This year’s theme is “Honoring our Troops,” complete with Cmdr. Jeff Gorell of the U.S. Navy Reserve serving as grand marshal.

The parade begins on East Main Street in front of the Buenaventura Mission, continues up East Main and ends at the corner of North Ann Street and East Main. Along the way, you can feast your eyes on some of the most festively festooned floats, enjoy tasty Irish fare, and share family fun with your community and friends.

Thousands of websites have been created to dispense advice for novice and would-be clippers. But all share some common tips. Here are a few:

  • Know where coupons are available: Print or electronic, there’s no end. Sunday newspaper inserts, direct mail from vendors, magazines, in-store dispensers, your email inbox, and online printable-coupon sites are great places to start. Some coupons can now be scanned at the register directly from your smartphone or tablet.
  • Look for sales: Save even more with coupons when items are on sale. Try not to waste them on full-price items.
