Noteworthy homes

Evan Longoria of the Tampa Bays Rays recently purchased a residence in West Hollywood for $1.95 million. The team’s slugging third baseman now calls the 1925 Spanish-style house home.

The 1,850-square-foot space was recently renovated, and its defining features are the courtyard entry, beamed ceilings, and arched doorways. The home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a formal dining room, an office, and an updated kitchen. Outside, the hedged grounds feature a patio, a courtyard and sitting area and a large lawn.

Longoria, a three-time All-Star, has deep roots in Southern California, as a Long Beach State graduate and a Big West Conference Player of the Year in 2006. He is in his eighth season with the Rays.

Beverly Hills agent Ronald Goldhammer was the listing agent, and his transaction was recently featured on L.A. Times Hot Property.
