View of downtown San Diego from home's balcony. Text reals "Village People lead singer Victor Willis lists home in Mission Hills."

Victor Willis, legendary lead singer of The Village People (“YMCA,” “Macho Man”), has listed his stunning Spanish Contemporary home in the lovely Mission Hills neighborhood of San Diego. Built in 1977, what truly sets this three-story house apart are the panoramic views of downtown and San Diego Bay.

Mission Hills is known for its upscale view homes and prime location. This neighborhood offers an abundance of dining, shopping, and entertainment options, and is conveniently located near the best that San Diego has to offer. From hiking in nearby Presidio Park to enjoying a day at the San Diego Zoo, Mission Hills has something for everyone.

Michelle Hothem in our La Jolla Prospect office is listing agent for the five-bedroom, four-bathroom home at 3369 Hawk Street, priced at $2,300,000.

Beautiful water views

The formal living room offers beautiful water views of downtown San Diego, providing a picturesque backdrop for any occasion. Large, tall windows allow natural light to flood the room and set an inviting atmosphere for guests. The room is elegantly designed with high ceilings and a fireplace, creating a cozy yet sophisticated ambiance.

An open floor plan delivers a seamless transition between the kitchen and family room. The modern kitchen is fully equipped with stainless-steel appliances, gas range, butcher-block island, crushed-granite countertops, and a wine refrigerator.

The family room opens to the pool area, creating an indoor-outdoor living experience perfect for entertaining. Upstairs in the spacious primary bedroom, a wraparound balcony provides beautiful views and gorgeous sunsets.

10-person spa

The fantastic pool area has a waterfall and 10-person spa – the perfect oasis for relaxation and entertainment. Also by the pool is a barbecue, plus plenty of space for outdoor dining and lounging. Two cars can occupy the attached garage, and a security and surveillance system is in place.

About Victor Willis and The Village People

Lead singer Victor Willis wrote the lyrics to all of The Village People’s biggest hits, including “Macho Man,” “Go West,” “Hot Cop,” “In the Navy,“ and of course, “YMCA,” which was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2022 and the National Archives in 2020.

The “YMCA Dance” was created on TV’s “American Bandstand” when Dick Clark said, “Victor, I’m going to run the video back and show you what my dancers were doing with their arms as you were singing ‘YMCA.’”

The Village People have sold over 100 million records and the group has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Victor wrote the lyrics to “Go West” about his first wife at the time, Phylicia Rashad (Claire Huxtable of “The Cosby Show”).
