April gardening

If you followed our March gardening tips, your garden should be almost ready for the upcoming spring planting season. If not, start with our March to-dos before moving on to our April list.

Celebrate the Japanese art form of bonsai at the 58th Annual Bonsai Show in San Marino. The event features more than 100 specimens created by bonsai masters. Bonsai is different from similar practices because it grows small trees from regular stock and seeds, and uses cultivation techniques (pruning, root reduction, potting, etc.) to produce the small trees that mimic the full-size trees.
