Join NBA legend, two-time Hall-of-Famer, entrepreneur, philanthropist and motivational speaker Magic Johnson and Dana Point mayor Lisa Bartlett for the 14th Annual Sand Sculpture Dedication and Tree Lighting Ceremony.

Admire the massive 8-ton beach-themed sand sculpture constructed in the Lobby of the resort; visit Santa Claus himself; enjoy holiday entertainment, cookies and refreshments; and purchase raffle tickets to enter to win exclusive St. Regis prizes. All proceeds from this year’s ticket raffle sales go toward the Magic Johnson Foundation – a nonprofit public organization that works to fight HIV/AIDs.

Orange County Walk for Autism

What:
Powered by volunteers and families with loved ones on the autism spectrum, the 11th anniversary Orange County Walk Now for Autism Speaks replenishes vital funds for research as well as raises awareness about the increasing prevalence and the need for increased funding to combat this complex disorder.

More than 9,000 anticipated participants will enjoy three live stages, a Jumbotron displaying walkers’ locations throughout the course, and over 75 resource-fair booths offering kid-friendly crafts as well as helpful information for parents coping with autism. The 2014 “Branching Out” theme is highlighted by a large “autism family tree” featuring pictures and stories.

In 2013, Orange County Walk Now for Autism Speaks hosted 9,000 people and raised $258,386 for autism research. Walk Now for Autism Speaks is North America’s largest grassroots autism walk.

Members of the media are invited to attend the event, interview and photograph participants, volunteers and special guests.

When Breaking Bad’s Aaron Paul accepted his Best Supporting Actor Emmy last August, he more than remembered to thank his wife; he caused her website to crash. “Thank you for dedicating your life to spreading kindness across the world,” gushed the actor. “If you guys don’t know what she does, look up Kind Campaign.” Well, thousands did.
