This extraordinary Balinese modern pavilion-style residence in Trousdale Estates was the longtime home of actor Billy Dee Williams, best known for “Lady Sings the Blues” (1972) and “Mahogany” (1975). Williams was cast as Lando Calrissian in “The Empire Strikes Back” (1980), becoming the first African-American actor with a role in the “Star Wars” series.
The peaceful Zen retreat was designed by the owner, noted L.A. movie producer/international interior decorator Katie Heidy, president of production company Katydid Films. She is also an actor and producer. In 2011, she co-founded X Space Studio in Burbank.
