Other amenities include a three-bedroom guesthouse, a detached studio with its own bathroom, a patio swimming pool, and a fire pit.

Noteworthy Home

If you’ve ever thought the pirate’s life was for you, but you’re also inclined to live a luxury lifestyle, we’ve found your perfect home.

Located in a private cul-de-sac in Coto de Caza is a sprawling estate that, when seen from above, closely resembles a theme park. As you approach the front door, however, you realize that this impressive home has much more to it than the half-scale replica pirate ship that first catches everyone’s attention.

Large, open rooms and impressive architecture are defining features in the main house. An elegant staircase enhanced by a sparkling chandelier greets guests and beckons them upstairs. Downstairs, a spacious kitchen that would delight any chef funnels into a living area complete with a fully stocked bar. This is just one of the many luxury amenities in this estate, which includes a billiards room, home theater, lounge, two offices, and seven fireplaces.

Foxhill Estate

The magnificent Foxhill estate was recently sold by our agent Greg Noonan of Greg Noonan & Associates. The estate is perched on eight acres in La Jolla and was previously owned by the Copley publishing family. Originally built in 1959, the home is modeled after a French country-style manor. While owned by Helen Copley, the home entertained famous guests such as President Richard Nixon. After she died, the property went to her son, David Copley.

The 17,368-square-foot home features seven bedrooms, 9-1/2 bathrooms, a library, office, formal dining room, professional kitchen, fitness center, guesthouse, and staff quarters. Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool, greenhouse, garden shed, garage space for 12 cars, orchards, and gardens.

The home was purchased by hotel developer Doug Manchester of Manchester Foxhill, LLC for $17 million.

Ojai real estate

A private retreat

Matilija Canyon Ranch is a rare opportunity to own an Ojai retreat that feels like a step back to an easier time. The ranch is comprised of three parcels totaling approximately 560 acres surrounded by Los Padres National Forest.

The four residences at 3572-4101 Matilija Canyon Road are situated amid a private wildlife refuge that includes hiking trails, hundreds of fruit trees, a trout stream, two ponds, outdoor living areas, an aviary, and a fenced corral.

Of the four residences on the property, the largest is Dent House, a historic 1908 Craftsman that was moved from Ventura and has been a designated Ventura County Landmark since 1985. Original owner John Dent raised walnuts, cattle, and apricots, and was instrumental in forming a dried-apricot association.
