As reported by the LA Times and Curbed Los Angeles, the home was custom-built and designed by architect Paul R. Williams for singer Grace Moore in 1937. Though Moore and her husband, Spanish actor Valentín Parera, never lived in the home, it was purchased that same year by Power.

Sitting on more than an acre and beautifully landscaped with gardens and mature trees, 139 North Saltair Avenue exudes character and charm. Fenced and gated from the street, brick siding, thin columns, and a half moon portico greet you as you approach the home. A guest house also sits on the sprawling grounds.
