As another installment in our Social Spotlight series, today we’ll discuss our Instagram page. You’ve probably heard about Instagram and if you have an account, we’d love to connect. If you’re new to Instagram, we encourage you to join and give our page a visit.

The lowdown
Instagram is not a new member to the social media work, but it’s definitely grown in popularity over the past few years. It’s an online mobile photo and video-sharing social network that lets users take and post photos and videos, as well as share their posts on other social platforms. Instagram was acquired by Facebook in April 2012.

Palm Springs

It took 23,000 helicopter missions to build, has withstood four decades of desert heat, mountain snow, and high winds, and carried millions of enthralled passengers from around the globe. But the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway still towers above all Southern California attractions as the “eighth wonder of the world.”

Completed in 1963, the tram whisks riders from the Valley Station at 2,643 above the Coachella Valley floor to the Mountain Station at 8,516 feet on Mount San Jacinto in about 15 minutes. It’s usually 40 degrees cooler at the top year round, so residents and visitors alike can catch a break from the desert heat in summer or toss snowballs at each other in winter.

Wine tasting innovation

When you think of wine tasting, what comes to mind? For many, it might be a whole event or afternoon production. First, you head to a local winery or tasting room and begin your sensory adventure. Your day is filled with the sweet and dry aromas and tastes of various grapes and assorted blends. Between samples, you cleanse the palate with water and maybe even a pretzel or cracker. By the end of your tasting afternoon, you’re ready to leave with a few bottles of some of the delicious wines you’ve sampled and hand-selected.

Go behind the scenes of some of the loveliest, most secluded gardens in La Jolla. The Secret Garden Tour of La Jolla comes to you from the La Jolla Historical Society. Every spring, the locations are kept secret and only revealed in the program distributed the day of the tour. As guests stroll through the gardens, live music will be performed and local designers and merchants will have tabletop displays set up. Two tour options are available: self-guided, and the platinum tour, which includes an elegant brunch and shuttle transportation to the gardens.

Orange County events

Explore your Greek heritage or celebrate Greek culture during the OC Greek Fest in Anaheim. The festival kicks off Friday evening with bands and a classic car show. Over three days, attendees can tour the church, hear guest speakers, enjoy shopping, watch live performances and entertainment, and dance to traditional Greek music.
