St. Baldrick's shave-a-thon

What:
If you’ve ever wanted to see what it would be like to shave your head, now is the time. And you can help a great cause while you’re at it. Come to The Commons Bar in downtown San Diego to celebrate the Seventh Annual St. Baldrick’s Shave-a-Thon to support childhood cancer research with an afternoon of fun and exciting activities. A $10 donation gets you in the door, and $20 includes a T-shirt and raffle ticket. All proceeds benefit St. Baldrick’s Foundation. And, if you’re brave enough, make your dome aerodynamic to show support and solidarity for the brave children who face cancer every day. Last year the event collected $35,000, and $50,000 is this year’s goal. Can you help them reach it?

International home buyers

With more international home buyers than ever before and Southern California as a destination of choice, there’s no denying that overseas buyers will affect the local real estate market.

California is one of the four states that accounted for the majority of total reported purchases. Los Angeles and Irvine properties remain popular with the international community.
