There are few luxury brands that can compete with the scope of Louis Vuitton. The French retailer has seen a steady buzz over the past year, starting with the release of Artistic Director Nicolas Ghesquière’s first women’s collection in March for fall and winter, after the departure of Marc Jacobs. In October, the spectacular Frank Gehry-designed Fondation Louis Vuitton museum opened in Paris. Next up is a renovation of the iconic Fifth Avenue flagship in NYC.

But for now, all eyes are on the newly unveiled Beverly Hills boutique. Located in its original location on the corner of Rodeo Drive and Dayton Way with more than 3,000 additional square feet of retail space, the 12-month renovation has given way to a sculptural, triangular-shaped building with a gleaming stainless steel and lacquered ivory facade.

Dance the night away and support a good cause at the Leapin’ Lizards! Catalina Island Conservancy Ball. For the past 20 years, supporters have enjoyed one of the most magnificent gala charity extravaganzas anywhere in the region while raising funds for the Catalina Island Conservancy, an organization dedicated to the conservation, education, and recreation programs of Catalina Island. This year’s ball features a 1920s theme as well as a silent auction, a performance by Society Beat and, best of all, a chance to rub elbows with some of the most prominent boosters of one of Southern California’s most beautiful environments.

It’s that time of year again! Bring out the bunting, shine up the seats, and fire up the grills, because it’s time for Opening Day 2015–the day of the year when children of all ages drift on down to their local ballparks to celebrate the start of baseball season.

This season, the Los Angeles Dodgers begin their season at home on April 6 against divisional rival San Diego Padres, who have spent the off-season collecting talent in an effort to compete for the National League West title. They’ll need all the help they can get, as they’ll face 2014 National League MVP and Cy Young Award-winning pitcher Clayton Kershaw under the sun in Chavez Ravine. The ace lefty returns with his blistering four-seam fastball and hyper-focused precision to hopefully once again dominate hitters throughout the league.
