With delicious Mexican cuisine from the Bazaar del Mundo family of restaurants and fine tequila tastings from Tequila Fortaleza, this year’s Fiesta Mexicana hosted by Rosamaria Acuña of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties promises to surpass all expectations. Acuña is combining the event, to be held on November 8 at the Hall of Champions in Balboa Park, with the Friends of Scott Foundation’s Holidays with Hope/Viva Los Ninos fundraiser honoring Childhood Cancer Awareness month.

A silent auction will be held to support the Friends of Scott Foundation’s mission to help children with cancer and their families. The event will feature live Mariachi music from Mariachi Garibaldi, with director Jeff Nevin, a folkloric performance, dancing, an inspirational speaker, and a presentation of the Scotty Delgadillo scholarship awards. Betty Parakkal is sponsoring a free seminar for people interested in purchasing real estate, on November 6 at Bully’s East Prime-Bistro Sports Bar on 2401 Camino Del Rio South in San Diego, CA 92108. The general public is invited to attend the seminar, which will include free beer, wine, beverages and appetizers.

Parakkal will be sharing her experience in real estate and the mortgage industry to cover topics ranging from housing related laws, purchasing guidelines and financing options, to real estate investing, processes and trends. “I’m looking forward to the opportunity to meet with my friends and neighbors, answer questions and discuss all things real estate,” said Parakkal.

Parakkal offers a well-rounded insight into her clients’ transactions. A San Diego resident for over 10 years and a former educator, she is particularly knowledgeable about the region’s school districts, neighborhoods, service providers and options for entertainment.

Special_Olympics

Agent Sarah Robinson is teaming up with her parents to support the Special Olympics of Southern California’s annual Fall Games, which will be held December 13 and 14 in Fountain Valley and Irvine. The director of entertainment and ceremonies for the games for 15 years, Robinson volunteers alongside her parents, Jim and Rhonda Dusa, also residential real estate specialists.

“My entire family acts as one big volunteer unit for the games throughout the year for both the Summer and Fall Games,” comments Robinson. (more…)
