The blue-based purple is vibrant and can be used either sparingly or as the main event in almost any room. And, if you like Ultra Violet, you’ll probably love what else color experts are predicting for this year, which are rich tones of blues, greens, and purples.

Now that you have some color inspo for your walls, let’s take a look at what additional design details you can introduce into your home.

Floral prints

We’re not suggesting that you go full-on floral in your home, but according to Housecall, the print is expected to make a comeback this year. Try introducing throw pillows, curtains, or an accent wall in the flower print.

Statement floors

If you’re excited about maximalism this year, you’re going to love this trend. Bold colors, geometric tiles, and unique patterns are here to make a statement and make your guests look down in awe.

Our advice? Don’t overdo it. Contain your fabulous flooring to smaller spaces such as bathrooms, kitchen nooks or pantries, and dining rooms.

Warm neutrals

Browns, reds, and terracotta are among many warm colors you can expect to see more of in 2018. We suggest picking  these colors for your bigger, more expensive pieces, since neutral colors will have a bit more longevity than an Ultra-Violet-colored couch will.

Matte-metal hardware

Paired with light- or medium-wood cabinets, matte-metal hardware is the move to make in your kitchen and bathrooms. You can also incorporate matte-metal decor in your home on the walls, your lighting, and even some stylish bookends or trinkets.
